CBSE CLASS 12TH EXAM CANCELLED |SITUATION
REVIEW
The most debated topic in India today is that weather the board exams of class 12 should be cancelled. We are seeing many campaigns and protest against cancelling the board exams but have we ever thought what will be the situation if it is cancelled.
WHAT IF 12th
BOARD EXAM GET CANCELLED?
If the
board exams get cancelled what the Centre can do alternately is by asking the
schools to take the internal assessment as done for 10th standard. On
a survey I got to know that most of the students have failed in the internal assessments
conducted. Only 30% students at least managed to pass these model/pre-board
exams. So if we take those marks as official 12th marks, future of
many students will be surely spoiled.
Students
aspiring for NEET, JEE, or other engineering courses will not be affected as
most of the college accept student on reviewing their entrance exam mark and
not the 12th. Other advantage is that most of these entrance exams
are already conducted or are conducting in online mode with high invigilation
system.
The
affected ones will be the students who are aspiring for administration,
political, law, arts courses. Almost all reputed colleges in India are
accepting students for these courses are by evaluating the 12th
board exam marks. For them the mark gained by internal assessment would not be
enough to enter into a good college.
The other
section is the people who are financially backward and who decides to stop
education by 12th, for them the final graduation marks will be very
low and they will not be able to enter into other works which need 12th
marks.
So cancelling these exams will give the
students only a momentary relief but the after effects will be drastic. So
think twice before you post on twitter #cancel board exams.
In the
present scenario of increasing number of covid-19 cases, conducting a exam where 1/3
of the population attend is really dangerous. Even though teachers and govt
workers try their level best, to control this much number of students is nearly
impossible.
On taking concern of the students who have lost their family members, they are also going through a difficult condition. There mind will not be stable so as to write the board exams. The number of exams students can write are also on confusion because of the Covid-19 patients in their house.
As the situation
in India is very bad, what we as citizens should do is be careful and wear a mask
and keep social distancing. Rather than complaining the system and government,
we have to first take care of ourselves. If we citizens obey all the rules which
are given by the country, we can reduce the number of covid-19 cases soon.
HOPING FOR A DAY WHEN
WE HUG EACH OTHER WITHOUT FEAR
